So I "tried" to buy a cupholder insert a few times for it. and after biding 42 dollars for one on ebay (plus 14 dollar shipping) I gave up on that, and set out to find an alternative. Here is what I came up with.
Before today I tore the console apart stripped it down and glued / reinforced the back side of the cracks with strips of steel. I didn't do anything to the outside to keep the texture. but its solid. then painted it. The emblem was tapped off and painted back blue inside, and reassembled this is all pretty standard but this part might be new as I had not seen it on here before.
