starter problem
My jegs mini starter broke the pinion gear retainer. The starter developed a noise sounding like it was hung up or clashing very loudly and buggered up the flywheel teeth some. the starter gear has 9 teeth. the flywheel is a 168 tooth. and the block has a staggered bolt pattern.
the flywheel may be salvageable. can I use a starter from a late '98 chevy 1500 with my set up? fro some internet search it appears so.
