Didn't know they were illegal. Really though, it won't help you steer your truck at all, in fact just the opposite. It's a nostalgic throwback to decades ago, and is just for looks. I might put one on a '50s show car but that's about it. Actually I wouldn't (not my style) but I can see where they would look right in that setting. Just my 2 cents, don't throw rocks at me.
