Hmmm.....after studying the pics looks like there would be two bolts to attach to the plate; too easy to install the newer bracket seems plenty available (thanks to LS conversions).

I've always ran a support rod from the back of the alternator to a stud on the ex manifold to stop it from vibrating, it always did that regardless what alternator or engine I had on there. I have headers now and the bracket goes to the a/c boss on the intake instead but easier to go exhaust stud.

I used metal conduit tube, smashed and bent the ends to the right length and angles then fit it up and drilled the holes. It's enough to dampen the vibration and belt oscillations.
