The route I have to drive has a lot of hills, so most of it is just coasting down all the hills I can maintain speed on and doing the pulse and glide thing for those where I can't quite maintain speed. I think that's probably making the biggest difference for me right now. Besides that, I try to keep my speed down to 55-60 and use the pulse and glide method for stoplight-to-stoplight stuff in town.

I know you're kidding, but some of the more hardcore hypermilers will actually draft large trucks.

32" 235/85R16 recapped mud tires @ 660 revs per mile. The truck runs 2,700RPM @ 60.

Yeah, I think it's kind of fun. And it's certainly not the least logical thing in the world to be doing when you have to drive 75 miles or more every day (soon to be 110!).
