Re: anybody running pb dm level 1(mild) with bags?? pics??
I'm installing one right now on my 66 C10. I just finished fit checking it all and installing the steering shaft 3 joint setup for the uni-steel power rack and pinion. Don't have any pics yet on the ground though. Here is what I noticed so far though, with a 28" wheel, it looks like the wheel/tire would go above the inner fender by an inch or two. If your keeping your inner fenders (and not trimming your outer fenders) then bump stops will be needed. I am switching to a shock that you can add a bump stop too that hopefully works just to keep it clean and also get me double adjustable shock in the process.
If your also going to use the PB stage 2 deluxe kit to compliment the mild drop member, then it comes with bump stops that keep the rear Diff from hitting the bed floor. If you raise the bed floor and remove the bump stops from the c-notch, you can get another 1.5" of drop aired out.
With that said, the PB stuff all fit great and Nate was always there to help me out with questions or issues. My LS3 fit in the drop member perfect. The 3 joint steering setup is a PITA depending on what headers you have, my DT headers didn't leave a lot of room for routing. I think having or installing a high hump is a good choice even for the mild setup.
Doesn't seem like to many of us mild drop guys around. Good luck with whatever your choice is.
