I know this is reviving an old thread but which bell crank did you use. I'm having the exact same issue I have the one that is like the bottom of your picture and if i take the bracket with the ball on it out it the bell crank would hit the block where the dipstick is.

Edit: ok reading again I see that you used the I6 bell crank... how has this worked for you
