GM did an incredible job on the suspension of these trucks, which started over 50 years ago in '63. I can't tell you how many people have ridden with me that have never ridden in an "old truck" before (or ridden in others that were really crappy... *cough* ford *cough* ) and are shocked at how well it rides/handles. I have an ECE 1-1/4" bar on my truck and nothing else, she rides and handles well for a big ole girl.
