The problem that you're running into is that 6 lug wheels just aren't that popular for classics.

They are, however, popular for new trucks as GM has been 6 lug for quite some time, but as your finding out, most 6 lug wheels have a lot of positive offset as they're meant for newer trucks (look at any modern Silverado and see how close the hub is it outside the wheel), so as mentioned by the wheel seller above, you would need a spacer with most 6 lug wheel choices.

Terrible wheel selection for 6 lugs is why most of us go with the corvette or truck style rally wheel... or swap to 5 lug.
