Wow, that is a lot to pull in. Did you ever pull off the upper A arms? I did on my '68 and put them back on the wrong sides, which caused problems. Something somewhere is definitely off as with no shims, you should have a gap at the top of the square to the rotor. Was the truck ever in an accident where it could have twisted the frame rails? Definitely weird.
