^^ that. Also ... lay the covers on a flat surface and look for deformities. Be sure the raised cross at the bolt holes is not pulled inward too far otherwise you will not get good even clamping pressure once installed.
Or ... you could spend $75 or so for a pair of cast aluminum covers. Much more rigid and less likely to leak than stamped sheet metal units.
