Thanks Longhorn I started stripping the engine last night ready for paint as it's now on the stand . These are the numbers I have found .
On the front behind the water pump on the flat machined part is V1024UZB
On the rear above the oil filter on a machined flat part is CME138359
On the back of the block is in cast is 14093638
If any body can tell the year and what it came from that would be great
