Re: Where are the trucks for Hot August Nights?

Sure it helps (thanks)....See that 35" reference? That's supposed to be 30" from somewhere around the rocker panel. Here's some good info. Found one truck today, he said I could measure but couldn't touch the paint. I didn't want to push it, though he didn't realize til later I had a rubber sewing tape measure with electric tape on the end (i.e., can't scratch). Next time I bring the "Michael Jackson" gloves that came with my floor speakers..........

Nice guy. He has a 72 Super short bed with a 350, and the moldings are all original. His truck is in nice shape, was restored 17 years ago. He said a lady had offered 35K for it. It's nice to know the 30K I'll blow on this project is a fair investment as well as a must do.

Some good info. on the subject here:

I developed an assembly guide (kit) for restoring this truck from the ground up, complete with details including full hardware descriptions. Much of the info. applies to all 67-72 GM. My build thread, with some info. about the assembly kit https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=730025
