I'm just worried my next problem will be how I wired the coil up if I keep the points system, since the coil wasn't in the truck when I picked it up. There appeared to be 4 wires in the coil area and I have no idea if I got it wired up right since there seems to be more wires than I should have there.
You should have at least one hot wire with the key on, maybe 2, and there will be a negative coil to distributor wire. If you have a tach it will go on the negative post of the coil with the distributor wire.
