Re: Amazing what people want for these trucks

If a truck seller asks $10,000 for a truck and ends up selling said truck for $7,500 is it not worth that amount? Not to me or you, but to the buyer it was. Probably somebody with more liquid capitol that most. Buyer (probably newbie wanting to get into the hobby) feeling that he got a bargain as he haggled hard. Got him down 25% from original asking price. Might be he's always been hoping for $7,500. (still too high IMO)
I will hold off stating what I think the truck is worth (much less) as the price of these old trucks just keeps going up.
Every time one of these shops on TV takes a beat up old truck and in less than the one hour episode transforms it into a cool old classic, folks out there think "I could do that".
And another club member is born. They gotta start somewhere. Remember guys "it takes all kinds to keep this hobby thriving like it is now". It takes buyers, sellers, flippers, parting out guys, collectors, investors, shops, inventors, all of these folks are making money off of this hobby and I am darn glad of it. Unfortunately the days of good $500 trucks is gone or soon to be.
