I was told that the rad support is good from 73-80 BUT I am building a 74 that came in basically as a frame and drivetrain. I threw on a 79 core support I had and the issue is that the 74 has a hood latch that opens from a single release in the grille.. the 79 came with an interior release. My cab is definitely a 74 as I have the vin plate and title and it would need to have a couple of holes drilled for the interior hood release as there is no provisions for it in the 74. if you're a decent metal guy you can prolly fab the correct piece you need for the top of the core support . The other issue is the 79 has grille mounts that bolt into the top edge of the two posts that run down the front of the core support and the 74 has brackets that mount tot he sides it appears. Im working on modifying the 79 support as we speak I will take pics and post
