Re: 83' Front Cross Member in 64' K10

Hey Les, the cornering was never an issue before I converted the front springs to the 52" leafs. In stock form, the truck cornered really well. The front leaf packs did have an add a lift spring in each of them which I believe limited any real body roll. I think that the add a leafs are what ultimately forced me to do the conversion since it was also an incredibly bone jarring ride as well.
With the new 52" springs, the ride smoothed out considerably. I drove it for a few weeks around town before I took it on the freeway. That first time coming around a slightly off camber, wide sweeping turn at 65 mph was all it took. By that weekend, I had found a SB on CL and got new urethane bushings. It was installed by the next weekend. The cornering has improved dramatically with way less pucker and no white knuckles by the time I arrive to work. LOL. I wasn't sure how much I would gain from the 1-1/4 bar but it has proven very effective.
At the moment, its dark out so I'll try and get pics after work tomorrow.
