-6000rpm is fine with a stock bottem end. 3.75" stroke x 6000rpm=just under 4000fps piston speed.
-6" rods are an extra expense that is not really worth it IMO. 5.7" rods are a dime a dozen, pistons using them are easy to source, and your not building an engine that the bigger rod will make any difference on.
-I love vortecs but if you have the money then buy the aluminum heads.
-MSD box gives you more benefits then the HEI upgrades
