We made a bolt on panel for the front of the bed (between the cab and bed). You could see the framing of the new front wall, and even though we painted it black it just didn't look finished. So we made this panel and had it painted, then attached it with stainless hardware so you would see paint when you looked between the cab and bed.

We came up with the idea because we did something similar on the tailgate. The painted piece needs to unbolt in case the tailgate handle needed to be removed.

We also got the engine compartment mostly wrapped up.
