Or you could move the rear cab mounts back add the middle one and cut the floor pan and build it around the frame but I'd say your still going to make the frame longer for the bed or make a really short bed


Just a guess don't hold me to it I've never seen or done one just going off what I know from my years of working on my trucks
Looking a bit further, I think you may be right. From a post I found the frame on the CC is stretched under the cab as you describe. All is not lost though, that guy says he is converting to a 4X4 with K20 parts, so perhaps the 79 K20 could donate its 4X stuff!
