Brett, on this forum, runs a compound set up (2 into 1) on his Duramax for some incredible drag race performance. For your project (inline 6 cylinder on gasoline), I would consider running a sequential turbo configuration so that you can run on the smaller primary unit for part throttle driving, and then have the second unit available for full throttle. This will require an additional exhaust and compressor bypass control, but will help cut down on some heat and some complex tuning to stay ahead of detonation.
