The needle and seat were not working properly if 6PSI was too much.
Why mess with Chinese floor sweepings. Get a Rochester Quadrajet rebuilt for your rig. The Edelbrock will end up costing you more than a good quality rebuilt Rochester after you factor in time and frustration.
