Re: Loud clunking noise when shifting into four wheel drive.
I watched a video about the transfer case shifter thinggy the other day. It would make noise as the guy was rolling about 2 mph and engaging the 4 wheel drive. The fix looked easy. The only hard part is getting the front drive shaft out. Look it up on youtube. It could be what is wrong.
