Yeah the finish not being as nice didn't make sense to me either. The NOS grill's anodizing was "cloudy" compared to my original grill. The original grill looks much more like polished aluminum, where the NOS grill had a faint satin aluminum look. It wasn't a big difference, but noticeable up close.
