I have an engine in my '68 C/10 Stepside that's stamped F0627XAE. I know it's the original 292 engine, at least since I bought the truck in 1973. I also had a core 292 that I ran for 25 years, pulled out of a '67 ex-Forest Service stepside that's stamped F0626UH.
My "UH" is on the charts but I could never get a read on "XAE". Then again, yours could be a perfect UA and our knowledge base is too limited to learn more.

Orange, I have UA suffix code used in 55 and 56 for the 235 and from 65 to 68 for the 292.
I've been looking for your XAE code for the past 2 years. Even written several expert numbers men and still nothing. Have you ever checked the date code on your block? I'm curious to see if it's 67 or 68 or maybe even 66?
