Thanks to all who responded.
Until Wednesday I didn't even know what a printed circuit dash board looked like. It took until this afternoon before I figured out that mine is missing the copper imprinted material on the board, hence no flow of electrical current.
Have ordered a new one from Classic Parts.
My learning curve has a broad arc!!!
