When I go to a judged show with my Chevelle I usually put "not to be judged" on the window sticker. It's way too easy to get caught up in the whole trophy thing (I know as I did it years ago) and forget what you go there for in the first place is to surround yourself with people who also love these old vehicles.
If any question is in your mind, ask at the entry desk, and move on. I like this old "Car Show Creed" posted in Goodguys magazine a while back. Words to live by.
