Everyone has an opinion on gear drives. They trip Knock Sensors (probably don't have to worry about that), Create Harmonic Vibration, and there's other cons. I've never, or have known anyone, That has ever had a problem, racing or DD, with a gear drive. I say if your on the fence, go for it.
