you could swap in a 700r4 but there is a controller needed. you could swap in a turbo 400 but the driveshaft would need work. the exchange turbo 350 is a no brainer if you just wanna do a swap. check out some speed shops if you want a beefier rebuilt. also think about stall speeds on the converter and shift kits etc. stop in at a speed shop and talk with a tranny guy who knows his stuff. also, if the trans is going, plan on doing something with the existing cooler because all the crap from the old trans gets lodged in there and then, after you get the new trans installed, the crap starts flushing out into the new trans. some shops will install an inline filter but I usually just replace the rad (with the integral cooler) and/or the separate stand alone cooler. if you have an expensive custom rad you may just want to get it out of the system by installing a totally stand alone trans cooler.
