Thanks jocko. The truck was originally purchased at a dealer here in Albq Ed Blacks Chevrolet. I have the original purchase invoice and protecto plate. It was used as a work vehicle for a local electric company here in town. Mileage is turned over at least once 27k it reads. I bought it from a guy here who has 20 67-72 trucks and this was the best one he had that was original. I paid $2500. It's basically all original with no rust at all. Looking under the truck it's amazing how clean it is. The original bucket seats were pulled and used for another project the guy had. I'm on the hunt for a set as well (FYI). It was hit in the fender and bumper. The truck did not come with the original fender, grill, bumper and radiator. I was told it was running but sitting since last registered in 2000 according to plate sticker. Under the hood is all original and super clean. The owner before last was going to put a timing chain in but never did. The better side is against the wall so I can't get any pics. I've seen Petes old 4x4 you referred to back when it was his dd. I agree with the medium olive fender being the best option. I could live with an original dark, black or nos black I think would look acceptable for the time being.
