The more torque you make the larger bolt patern is more desired. Top fuel still uses 5 on 5 and is pretty much a standard in the upper end racing (1000HP and above) But then too ONE SFI wheel for those guys is $1200+ and selection is VERY limited like 71 says.

Mark Williams 11" ProMod rear end is only offered in 5/8" studs and 5 or 5-1/2" bolt circle just as an example. Sooo like everything,, it's all just a matter of money.
