Thought I would bring this up again as I had it out today and it ran good. I had changed the stock I6 distributor and coil to an HEI unit from a 78 Nova. No more coughing and missing until it clears itself. It sure seemed like a carb problem. Now it starts better, lugs better, revs better. I still need to get a full 12 volts to it so maybe it will run even better again. In defense of the old one though, it had probably been sitting close to 20 years and I can't remember having recently worked on it.
Along with the distributor, used Honda Civic door seals came home from the junk yard, so maybe this weekend for install.
Also on the wish list is a TH350 with lock up T/C. It should work OK with the 3.07 gears I hope. Any agree or disagree with this? Thanks.
