I just went through installing that exact system on my 72 fleetside. If you are using stock exhaust manifolds on the shortbed or the longbed you will also need magnaflow
kit# 15380. That will make a perfect hook up for the shortbed, For the Longbed you will have to have 13 inch SS extentions made to connect Kit 15380 to part # 16643. If you are using Headers then you can probably get by with just 16643. I bought my 16643 from LMC truck. They do not have any idea about how it fits or what it fits. I spoke to Magnaflow and they said they engineered 16643 for the short bed and left it to the buyer to figure out what they needed to hook it to the engine. They gave me the part number (15380) for the stock manifold extensions. It was back ordered from Magnaflow but I found it on Amazon for 225.00.
