Ill finish this post out in case it comes up again. The following is based upon several days of research and reading anything I could find out about it.

The pictures from dfwright appear correct for the source of vacuum to the solenoid, and from the solenoid to the distributor. The other port (on the electrical connector side) should simply have a little foam filter surrounding the metal port.

Ill try to confirm this when I run across a true survivor.
