I will try that out. I was trying to pull from the corners of the bearing. I did the same thing as you. It smashed in the first thread a bit. Hopefully I can have a shop rethread them; it's not absolutely terrible, just enough to get me down for a couple days not wanting to work on the truck due to my own stupidity.

I think I got the puller on the yolk, and once the yolk came of the splines the bearing slid right off.

Maybe also try soaking the splines in PB Blaster or something similar.
