there are enough wires going to the starter to begin with, doesnt make much sense to add more. besides, grounding it to the starter, all you're really doing is grounding it TO the block THROUGH the starter.

Well Gee. You got this big pos batt. cable going to the starter wouldn't you want a nice big ground cable there too. Makes your starter roll over alot better.
