The short piece of tubing from the cap to the screen pickup on the other end was worn out at both ends, which prevented the hose from getting adequate suction, which meant that no fluid was getting to the pump. I replaced that piece of hose and it pumps very well now.

At least I don't have to listen to the "clunk, clunk, clunk" when the stock pump cam does it's thing.

While I was under the hood, I rerouted the power supply to the relay for the supplemental electric fan from the secondary start battery to the primary battery since I am not currently using the secondary battery.

Looks just like the one's I worked on in the pic worked on two months ago (1984 that came with the part truck from day one @ factory works great new seals, ground cleaned) lubed gears

Was a 77 454 w/308 gear. Taken out 550 lbs. up front with motor clip change.
