I have been an installer for 41 years there is no problem with driving with a crack but get it replaced I work for safelite some jobs are easy to complete in the shop with help I don't know why they would have trouble getting the glass its part number is dw685 ask if anew gasket is being used it makes for a good install good luck It will work out fine
