I just finished getting a bonded title for my 67 GMC in AZ. I agree that the normal people helping you at the dmv don't always know everything about the process.

Last time I was denied the title because I had no paperwork from the guy I bought the truck from saying he wouldn't apply for the title.. But on this truck there is no records of it in the system at all (Orig owner passed 30 yrs ago) so I shouldn't have had to get that because hes and nobody are even on the records..

Yesterday I chose to argue when they tried to deny me again for a different reason, and I ended up getting it. This time they tried to tell me I need emissions for it (In AZ its required for a title transfer.. how ridiculous huh!?) BUT, I had a level 1 inspection for the bond which can cover to transfer a title. But the lady didn't know and was arguing with me. Once she finally got the supervisor, I got my title and was on my way! In 3 years the title will be a completely normal clean title.

I paid $100 for the bond
