Sounds like you need a SBC to me. Inline 6 is a great motor, and they make a nice little torquey trail motor for 4x4 in my opinion. Some guys even get a bunch of horsepower out of them. But if you want something to just drop in as is and spin the tires/do 70mph in the fast lane, then look for a 350
