What I have done is to cut two pieces of metal (one for engine side and one for interior side) slightly larger than existing hole(s). Clamp two pieces together and drill hole for no. 10 bolt about center of existing hole(s) in firewall. Clean with alcohol, apply small bead of rtv and bolt to firewall. No extra holes in firewall, fire proof, weather proof, paintable and semi permanent.
