I have next to zero knowledge on most of the things you touched on so I really don't know. I bought the truck the way it is other then adding the tires. My mechanic did through the engine and transmission and replaced seals and checked everything out. It has zero leaks.

The Auxiliary Spring on your truck looks factory to me ( I have one on my present truck ) RPO Code G60 but it doesn't show on the spid. That coupled with the not so right rivets on the id plate make me wonder if your truck had a cab swap when it was redone.
