It's not the headers you have to worry about. Its the collector pipe that needs to get around the auto tranny mount (assuming you're running dual exhaust). Shouldn't have any trouble with the headers. Well, I didn't on my 83 w/power everything & I'm running plain jane headers. If you still have the y pipe, then I have no idea. Hope this helps.
