My current project is the restoration of a 72 swb 4x4. The truck was originally purchased army surplus. When I first got it it was gloss olive drab. The first time I painted I did it in forest green with sand highlites and flat black abstract bird figures on it.
I used the U.S. Army field guide to paint the patterns. It looked real good and got many compliment on the paint job. I don't know if I have any picture of my truck when it was all together, but I can probably take some pictures of the parts in the back yard. Gendres doors, and hood.
