Got those backing plates and they're great. Can't decide if I should soak in white vinegar overnight or use paint remover right now. Probably hit em now. It's just paranoia is all, I don't want to lose my nuts. These should come out nice. Thank you.
Edit, was fooling myself. They're currently sitting in vinegar. If I had a jug of WD40 handy I'd experiment with that instead. Something I realized about WD40 recently. I was using a wire brush and baking soda to clean parts. WD40 works better no contest. Just expect to run through brushes much quicker. At least the small cheap ones.
