I would check the throttle shaft for movement. There's a good chance it may need bushings. Otherwise, you'll have a vacuum leak that makes getting the idle set difficult or impossible. There are bushing kits and instructions on line. However, you may want to send it out to someone that has the tools and bushings. Just don't take it to a big chain , who knows what you'll get.
