243 heads are a great choice! So many of them around for relatively cheap. Note for future buyers, there no need to fall for the "sodium filled valves" pitch and pay up for Zo6 243's the regular 243 gets the job done just as well and found on I think a lot of 02 LS1s and all the 04 GTOs. Maybe if you're spinning the motor to 7k+ they're a good option though. I think the exhaust are the only ones sodium filled? My past LS life says 450 crank should come pretty easy
