Since the 67's only cover one year (unless you don't want markers) it's probably a much smaller market. Someone made a big run of the 67 bedsides and now there's a large supply, so the price dropped to move some inventory (all just my guess on the pricing.)

Jegs did something similar with crate engines a couple years ago. They needed to move a lot of inventory so they dropped the price to around $1,200 shipped. They sold something like 300 motors in 2 or 3 days.
