Sorry to dig up an old thread. I have an 83 step side and need some help assembling the bed parts. I took pictures but now I am questioning some of the placement of parts.
I need to fab up some original style bed to frame washers. I would like to know if you have the dimensions of those originals you had?
I want to water-jet some with the offset square hole in stainless.
Also I need to know which way the cross sills go on. I know where they go but my pics have all the brace holes to the rear. But, I thought i read some where they all go forward.
Pictures would be amazing. Of brace and sill locations. You had a stock one as a reference which is so valuable.
Your information is great and thanks for posting it. I have never seen a squarebody step with a spare on the fender.
What is the current status of the project?
My goal is to have it going by fathers day weekend for a car show. Funny what stupid things hold you up!
