The gas tank saddles are spot welded in. You will have to find all the spot welds and drill them out.
That '62 parts truck looks to be in decent shape. Please don't take what you don't use to a scrap yard before trying to sell it to someone that could use it. These trucks and parts are getting harder to find all the time.
